A friend of mine suddenly calls me up for a project they were doing.
They were gonna set-up a CROSSFIT BOX in Bacolod the first official accredited box being put up.
I gladly obliged seeing though this was one of my first undertakings in legitimately branding a company. They needed a look that was tough and grungy and yet updated and clean.
I always get excited when I receive interesting proposals like this it gives me a chance to play with something new and fresh, something up and coming. This project gave me every excuse to go no holds bar on the look.
The perks in working with projects like this is that sometimes you get offered a helping hand to do the research. I mean really get into understanding how it feels and putting yourself in new situations to gain new experiences. With this one i decided to actually get in on a free class CF MNLA Makati was holding on a wednesday afternoon.
After the breath canceling muscle torture which felt great I may add. I found myself at peace in the middle of passing out and settling back to being relaxed. Then it hit me this is what CrossFit is about. It’s about knowing your strengths and what you have in you. We all have what it takes we just need to try harder.
The theme i was going for in the drafts above had a lot to do with strength and sturdiness the progress. The barbell may obviously represent strength but the rust on it represents aging, time and progress. It was saying “Welcome change with a six-pack.”, Who wouldn’t want that?
“Putting yourself in new experiences for the research of your work is bound to give you the right results and a nice workout in the process.”
