While we’re big fans of clever, compact housing, the kind of home tour more inspirational than aspirational, we do enjoy projects at the more extravagant end of the scale. Naman Villas by MIA Design Studio sits comfortably in the ‘OTT’ category, located on Non Nuoc Beach in Danang, Vietnam, the complex is made up of 40 luxury homes designed to offer privacy whilst placing the incredible scenery in full view. Each residence features a “multi-dimensional landscape” with tropical gardens and overflow pools; two levels contain bedrooms on the upper floor with access to incredible rooftop “waterscapes,” lawns and lounges, while light-filled living and eating spaces are placed on the ground level. Using local woods and vast amounts of glass, the architects have managed to build an airy, open-plan house strong enough to stand up to hurricane season.
