The Philharmonic Turntable Orchestra

We’re no experts, but we’re pretty sure most orchestras contain exactly zero DJs. The Philharmonic Turntable Orchestra is not your average orchestra, however. The only instruments here are plugged in and operated by champion disc jockeys. That’s right. The Philharmonic Turntable Orchestra is composed of DJs and their turntables. Don’t believe that such a thing can work? Here’s a performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto in E Minor to help change your tune. The reason the music was chosen? Mendelssohn’s Concerto in E Minor was the first LP ever released back in 1948, so there’s a bit of homage here. Anyway, this is incredible.
